Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a browser and returned to a website on later requests. Similar browser storage can remember a choice for a tab or session without sending that value with every request.

When you sign in through Steam, PENALTE DAYZ uses an essential HTTP-only session cookie to keep you signed in and connect protected features to the correct account. It uses SameSite=Lax protection and is not available to ordinary page scripts. The configured lifetime is normally up to 30 days, and signing out clears the browser cookie and invalidates the stored session.

• Consequence of blocking it: Steam sign-in and account-only features will not work.

A dismissible site announcement may store a temporary value in session storage so it remains hidden for the current browser tab. That value is removed when the tab session ends and is not used to identify or track you.

Selecting Steam sign-in sends you to Steam, which may use its own cookies under Valve’s policies. Social-media and community links open external services that control their own cookies and tracking. PENALTE DAYZ does not control those third-party technologies.

The current website does not intentionally set advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies. If optional analytics or marketing technologies are introduced later, this page will be updated and any consent controls required by applicable law will be provided before those technologies are used.

Most browsers allow you to inspect, delete or block cookies. Blocking the essential PENALTE session cookie does not prevent access to public pages, but it prevents sign-in and protected account features. Consult your browser’s privacy settings for the controls available on your device.
