Information we process
We process only the information reasonably needed to operate the PENALTE DAYZ website, game servers and community services.
- Steam identifier, display name and authentication-session information when you sign in.
- Gameplay and server telemetry such as sessions, kills, deaths, distances, playtime, loadouts and related ranking statistics.
- Reports, moderation records and security events needed to investigate abuse or protect the service.
- Basic technical request information produced by our hosting and security systems.
Why we use it
Information is used to provide sign-in, loadouts, rankings, player profiles, server administration, moderation, troubleshooting, fraud prevention and service security. We may also use aggregated statistics to understand how the servers are performing.
- To provide features you request and maintain your account session.
- To enforce community rules and investigate technical or security incidents.
- To keep rankings, achievements and server information accurate.
- To comply with a legal obligation or respond to a lawful request where required.
Legal basis
Where data-protection law applies, processing may rely on providing the requested service, our legitimate interests in operating a safe gaming community, compliance with legal obligations, or consent when a feature specifically asks for it. You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the applicable basis.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. Information may be handled by hosting, database, security and authentication providers that help us run the service. Steam processes the authentication step under its own terms and privacy information. We may disclose information when legally required or when necessary to protect users, the community or the service.
Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as it remains useful for the purposes described above, including maintaining statistics, resolving disputes, enforcing bans and meeting operational or legal requirements. Retention periods can differ by record type. We use reasonable access controls and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection. Some information may need to be retained where the community has a legitimate security, moderation or legal reason. Contact the team through the community channels and include enough information to identify your account without sharing your Steam password. You may also have the right to complain to the data-protection authority responsible for your location.
Changes to this notice
We may update this privacy notice when the website, servers or legal requirements change. The revised date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Material changes may also be announced through the website or community channels.
