PENALTE player wiki
More ways to play. Nothing extra to install.
PENALTE adds familiar quality-of-life features while you keep a normal vanilla DayZ client. This guide shows the items to use, the actions to take, and the limits players need to know.

Before you begin
Keep DayZ vanilla
Join PENALTE with the normal DayZ game. These systems reuse items, prompts and actions already in DayZ, so there is no Workshop collection or client download to manage.
No downloads
Connect with a vanilla client. The extra rules and conveniences are handled by the server.
Familiar controls
Use normal DayZ items and actions such as locks, tools, flags, tents, voice range and inventory slots.
Persistent access
Ownership, trust and saved website choices stay linked to the correct player through restarts.

Owned Gates
Code-lock convenience for vanilla gates. The builder owns the gate, trusted players can use it, and nobody needs a custom lock or client mod.
Build your Deathmatch kit in a visual DayZ inventory before entering the server. The editor follows the same slot, attachment, cargo and Hands rules as the game.
Sign in with Steam and create a loadout from Empty, Server Default, or a copy of your active loadout.
Choose your survivor model and blood type.
Name, copy, delete and manage saved loadouts from the loadout page.
Set one loadout active. Your selection is used on the next Deathmatch spawn.
Build your inventory
Drag an item from Available Items into its equipment slot, an attachment slot, a cargo grid, Hands or the hotbar.
Drop an item on the survivor to place it automatically: its natural equipment slot first, then the first cargo space that fits, then empty Hands. If none is valid, nothing moves.
Hold Ctrl while dragging to rotate a cargo item, or Shift to duplicate it.
Drag a carried item back to Available Items to remove it.
Hands, hotbar and saving
Whatever is shown in Hands is what you spawn holding. Only one item can be in Hands.
A container must be empty before it can be placed in Hands; its cargo is unavailable while it is held.
Hotbar space comes from the equipment in your kit. Drag items onto numbered slots to assign them.
Changes save automatically. Check the save indicator before leaving the page, and use Save now if you want immediate confirmation.
The editor blocks impossible placements and account-limit violations so the saved kit can be recreated correctly in DayZ.
